Submarine Outlaw: The Movie; An unexpected surprise but a welcome one

An Introduction

When I first heard about the idea I was skeptical, after reading the book I can certainly see some potential with this book. The first book was filled with action-packed scenarios that would make for some really tense movie scenes. Binman studios are planning to turn the entire book series into an entire movie series, this seems like an ambitious goal but would be incredible if they manage to pull it off.

What I think about the story

The entire story is based around a boy named Alfred who travels the world in his home-built submarine. I personally really enjoyed this concept and was constantly thinking about how good of a movie it would make if it came to fruition. Now that it finally has I’m ecstatic to see how the first movie turns out. “We’re planning to make the movie as similar as we possibly can to the novel series” According to Binman studios. Oftentimes I strongly dislike movies that are based on novels because the storyline is completely different, this news is just like a cherry on top of what seems like an already great idea.

Is it for you?

The novels were originally written for young to middle-aged teens. I think that even if you’re 20 years or older you could still enjoy this movie series. If you’re into adventure or thriller novels and movies Submarine Outlaw will fit your taste perfectly. The movie’s runtime is only around 1 and a half hours so all of the action is packed together really close so you’re never off the edge of your seat.
