The deeper we got in to the cave, the more I though about my uncle, Bilbo. The Ring had also been making weird sounds, as if it was attracted to something within the caves.
After lots of adventuring through the caves of Moria we came across The Chamber of Mazarbul, known to Gimli as the ‘Chamber of Records’. Within the chamber we discovered a book, it seemed to be a record of what happened to the dwarfs and it contained information of what the dwarves had found within the mine, True Silver. The book also mentioned how the dwarves had met their fate; they were surrounded by orcs who attacked and defeated them.
There were dwarve skulls and bodies scattered everywhere; Gimli was very upset with the fate of his companions.
Suddenly… we heard the sound of rolling drums from below, doom, doom, doom, It began to get louder and sounded as if it was coming closer, DOOM, DOOM, DOOM. I heard feet and voices roaring outside of the chamber, The Black Uruks of Mordor had arrived. Why were they after us? I didn’t know why they were there but they were ready to fight. We had blocked the chamber to delay them but they were now forcing their hands and feet through the wooden entrance.
I drew Sting out of fear, ready for their attack. when a head peeped through the door, I leapt forward and sliced it from its corpse. At last, they broke through, charging towards us with their swords drawn.
The Orcs withdrew and a giant cave troll entered charging straight for me with its sword withdrawn. I backed against the wall in fear when it stabbed at my chest. It was the most force I’d ever felt, though I was winded, My chainmail armor had saved me. Sam, Pippin, and Legolas took down the troll.
We were running away from the Orcs when there came a glow from the other side of the chamber. Then entered… a Balrog.
We ran as fast as we could for the bridge but the Balrog was faster. Gandalf told us to run while he held off the Balrog from the bridge.
We had safely gotten to the other side but Gandalf was still on the other side screaming at the Balrog. At that moment, Gandalf ran into the middle of the bridge with the Balrog chasing him and broke the bridge with his staff; he took down the Balrog along with himself.
